It’s not meant to be a complete event calendar. Instead, think of it as a starting point for finding something to do, explore, or look forward to around Central Oregon.

Annual Events

Some events have become part of the rhythm of the year in Central Oregon. These are the festivals, fairs, parades, and community traditions that families can look forward to year after year.

Bend WinterFest — February
- Winter activities, vendors, and family‑friendly entertainment in the Old Mill District.

Sisters Rodeo — Early June
- Classic Central Oregon tradition with parades, rodeo events, and small‑town charm.

Redmond 4th of July Parade — July 4
- A parade with floats, local groups, and plenty of community spirit. It’s a festive way to start the holiday before evening celebrations.

Sisters 4th of July Festival — July 4
- A relaxed, family‑friendly celebration with music, food, and community activities throughout town. A cozy way to enjoy the holiday close to home.

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show — Second Saturday in July
- The largest outdoor quilt show in the world, filling downtown with color.

Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo — Late July/early August
- Carnival rides, livestock shows, concerts, and rodeo events.

Sunriver Music Festival — August
- Classical performances and music education programs held throughout Sunriver.

Sisters Folk Festival — September
- A weekend of live music spread across venues throughout town.

Sisters Harvest Faire — October
- Handmade goods, fall flavors, and a cozy seasonal atmosphere.

Sisters Tree Lighting — Late November
- A cozy kickoff to the holiday season with lights, music, and downtown festivities.

Christmas Around Town — Early December
- Lights, shops, and holiday traditions throughout Sisters.

Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show 2026: Our Day, What We Learned, and Tips for Next Year

The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is one of my favorite summer traditions in Central Oregon. Every July, the entire town transforms into an open‑air gallery, with quilts hanging from storefronts, balconies, fences, and every spare wall. Even with the heat and the crowds, it’s still one of the most visually striking events of the season and this year gave us a mix of familiar charm and new discoveries.
