Creator of No Hall Pass Required

 

Hi, I’m a homeschool mom, an engineer, and a STEM-loving creator living in beautiful Central Oregon. After years working in the corporate world, I chose a different path, one centered around learning, creativity, and family. 

 

When I began homeschooling, I quickly realized how easy it is to feel overwhelmed by all the choices: curriculum, activities, schedules, and the pressure to make sure you’re doing enough. I wanted to find a simpler way to make learning part of everyday life.

I created No Hall Pass Required as a place for families to find simple, hands-on ways to learn through the world around them. You’ll find STEM activities, nature exploration, seasonal ideas, food and CSA explorations, homeschool resources, and more, all designed to make learning feel approachable, curious, and connected to everyday life.

I believe learning can happen anywhere, in the kitchen, on a trail, in the backyard, at the farm, or around the table. Sometimes it starts with a question, a little curiosity, or simply noticing something you hadn’t noticed before. 

 

My goal is to help families find ways to follow that curiosity without adding more pressure. Whether your child learns at home, in a classroom, through a hybrid model, or somewhere in between, there’s room for hands-on exploration, questions, and discovery.

Central Oregon inspires much of what I create, the trails, the seasons, the farms, and the community around us. But you don’t have to live here to use what you find on No Hall Pass Required. The ideas are meant to work wherever your family happens to be.

There’s no perfect way to learn, and there’s no need to make every moment a lesson. Sometimes the best place to start is simply to notice, wonder, and see where the question takes you.
