CSA + STEM Exploration
What can you learn from a box of vegetables?
During CSA season, we use the produce we bring home as a starting point for simple observations, questions, STEM explorations, and kitchen experiments.
Each week, I share what we received, something we noticed or explored, and a way to connect the produce to learning at home. Sometimes that means looking closely at a vegetable. Sometimes it means experimenting in the kitchen. And sometimes it’s simply noticing something we hadn’t noticed before.
You don’t need a CSA subscription to join in. These ideas can work with produce from a garden, farmers market, grocery store, or whatever happens to be in your kitchen.

Food can be a starting point for curiosity all year long. More food-based STEM explorations are coming.
Vegetable Activity Packs - Coming Soon
Want to go a little deeper?
I’m developing hands-on activity packs built around individual vegetables. Each pack will combine interesting facts, observation activities, STEM explorations, and simple ways to investigate the vegetable beyond the dinner table.
They’ll be designed to make it easy to turn an ordinary vegetable into a day of curiosity and hands-on learning.
Coming soon.
